Board Meeting
March 2, 2020
The meeting was called to order at 9:11 at Sandy Mackey’s home.
In attendance were: Sandy Mackey, Janet Ford, Fletcher Olsen, Nancy Watanabe, Judy Burger, Sara Ito and Randi Wilson.
Sara moved to approve and Judy seconded the motion to approve the minutes of the Nov. 11, 2019 meeting. Approved.
Treasurers Report: Judy gave a brief summary of the income and expenditures to date. Including the earmarked expenditures there should be approximately $1,000 remaining in the account. The surplus was attributed to the increase in the number of members. (Expenditures are based on the basic minimum of 40 members and this year there were 51.) Sara moved to accept the treasurers report and Nancy seconded the motion. Approved.
Website: Sandy thanked Sara for setting up the new website and having it up and working quickly. It is working well with few problems.
Janet thanked Sara for informing everyone of the new handicap system and explaining how to use it.
Sara will work on getting the meeting minutes posted on the website.
Tournaments: Review of the 2020 tournaments.
Fletcher said she had positive feedback on the tournaments.
Fletcher brought up the pace of play in the Club Championship being effected by parings in foursomes rather than threesomes.
Club Championship changes:
Sara moved that the championship flight will be made up of those whose handicaps qualify and others who may want to be paired in the championship flight. If your handicap doesn’t qualify you for the championship flight you must declare at sign up you want to play in that flight. Following the first day of play players will be paired in their designated flights no matter what they shoot. Fletcher seconded the motion. Approved.
Fletcher moved to award an overall net winner in the club championship. Nancy seconded the motion. Approved.
Fletcher moved that “follow the field” players would be allowed to sign up for all tournaments except the club championship. Sara seconded the motion. Approved
Lea Lea Cup:
Fletcher moved that the Lea Lea Cup format return to the Ryder Cup style of team competition. Judy seconded the motion. Approved.
Election of Officers:
Janet suggested we have a general meeting early in January.
Fletcher suggested that at the general meeting on Wednesday we see if anyone would like to serve on a nominating committee for the 2021 election of officers.

Other Business:
Local Rule – Drop Area for CKK #11 tee
If the player’s ball does not carry over the bushes below, in front of the tee, (which is a penalty area) you can go to a drop area defined as: as the bottom of the hill 2 club lengths in front of the bushes. If you go to the drop area after your first shot enters the bushes you will drop and be hitting 3.
If the player’s ball caries the front bushes and goes out-of-bounds left or right they must use the out-of-bounds rule.
Sara moved to approve this local rule change, Janet seconded the motion. Approved
Sara moved to only allow members to compete in regular play day competitions. Guests would not be allowed to compete. Sandy seconded the motion. Approved

Lea Lea Cup: Team pairings party Thurs. Feb. 4 after golf
Lea Lea Cup: Feb. 9 & 11. Sandy Webb and Randi Wilson chairs
Club Championship: Feb. 23 & 25, Diane Ilstrup and Sandy Mackey chairs
Ace: March 2. Nancy Watanabe
General Meeting & luncheon: March 3
Sandy and Janet are getting together to figure out how many starting times to secure and will reserve them.
Sara moved to adjourn the meeting at 10:45. Judy seconded the motion. Approved.
