Board Meeting
September 28th, 2021

The meeting was called to order by President Sandy Mackey at 12:11 pm at Sandy Mackey’s home.

In attendance were: Sandy Mackey, Suzanne Skeeters, Sara Ito, Mary Pat Gannon, Kacey Coyle and Janet Ford via Facetime.

Approval of March 15th meeting minutes: Kacey reviewed the minutes from the March 15th, 2021 board meeting. Mary Pat moved to approve, Suzanne seconded. March 15th minutes approved.

Treasurer’s Report: Suzanne discussed the treasurer’s report and latest transactions. We now have electronic access/online banking. Current balance is $1,581.41. Verified dues increase, and Suzanne will send out notice of that in November. Mary Pat moved to approve the Treasurer’s report, Sara seconded. Treasurer’s report approved. 

Old Business: 

  1. Hometown Tournament: Discussion on whether or not we should have the tournament. We moved to have the tournament, motion passed. Would like to hold it in October and pick a date. Kacey had to decline planning/organizing the tournament due to career obligations, Mary Pat and Sandy and Suzanne volunteered to run it instead on Thursday, October 28th – Course to be determined. 
  1. Dues for 2022: Revisited our suggestion of raising dues to $80 annually and reviewed tournament payout budgets. Sara moved Tournament fees will also be $15 entry fee per tournament except for the Club Championship, Janet seconded. Motion passed.

New Business:

  1. Vaccination/Non Vaccination Policy: Due to current circumstances with Covid-19, all board members discussed opinions and decided we need to put a club policy in place for best public health interests of the group. Janet proposed Lea Lea enact a policy where members need to prove full vaccination to participate in Lea Lea activities, effective October 1st, 2021. Case by case consideration for individuals who are not able to be vaccinated may be able to be discussed, but continued participation is not guaranteed in this situation. Sara seconded the motion, motion passed in a 4-1 vote. This policy will be reviewed periodically and as public health matters evolve.

    1. Eclectic – January 11th & 13th – Janet Ford
    2. Pick a Partner – January 27th – Jayne Williams 
    3. Lea Lea Cup – February 8th & 10th – Kacey and Randi
    4. Club Championship – February 22nd & 24th – Sara Ito
    5. Ace of Aces – March 1st – Mary Pat Gannon
    6. Awards Luncheon March 2nd
  1. Tee Time Calendar: Discussed arranging weekly tee times with Kona Country Club.

Mary Pat motioned to adjourn the meeting at 2:11 pm, Kacey seconded. Approved and meeting adjourned.
