Lea Lea Women’s Golf Club
Regular Meeting Sept 18, 2023
The meeting was called to order at 10:16 am by President Sandy Mackey at her house. In attendance:
Sandy Mackey, Myrna Fant, Judy Burger, Jayne Williams (via Facetime), Randi Wilson, and Jo Quinn.
Old Business:
Myrna Fant, as Secretary, read the minutes from the General Meeting on March 1, 2023. Judy Burger moved, and Judy Burger seconded to approve the minutes. The motion passed unanimously.
Treasurer’s Report: (A copy of which is attached)
Judy Burger, as Treasurer, gave a review of the organization’s financial health. The checking account balance as of Sept 17, 2023, is $2,842.78, with $300 still budgeted for the Hometown Championship, $645 for hole in one and $200 for Ace Entries leaving cash balance of $1,697.78.
Sandy asked for approval and Jo Quinn moved and Randi Wilson seconded to approve the Treasurer’s Report. The motion passed unanimously.
Old Business:
Sandy discussed Day’s play and thanked both Randi (Thursdays) and Jayne (Tuesdays) and appreciates all their help. Jayne indicated she would start Tuesday signups beginning January through April.
Hometown Tournament
Sandy and Jayne volunteered to organize this year’s tournament and set the date for November 2, 2023, and has a budget of $300 for prizes—all players pay an entry fee of $10. Myrna moved and Randi seconded to Nov 2 with $300 budget for Hometown Tournament and motion passed unanimously.
New Business:
Budget:
Membership dues were discussed. There was some discussion about the GHIN fees have gone from $25 to $30, also WordPress/Gsuite get paid yearly for website. It was moved by Jo Quinn
and seconded by Judy to leave the membership dues as $80 for current member and $85 for new members ($5 goes to Hole-in-one Club). The motion passed unanimously.
Discussion continued about Tee packets and expensing these for any tournaments. Myrna moved and Jayne seconded that Tee packets will be expensed to the Club by the Tournament Chair up to $150 with receipts. The motion passed unanimously.
There was a very long discussion about fiscal vs. calendar year budgets. Judy moved Myrna seconded that the existing accounting be left as a fiscal year. This motion passed. Jo Quinn moved, Myrna Seconded that the 2023 budget be amended to include the (2024) Tee packets. Motion passed unanimously.

Number of starting times has not been as accurate as it could be. Sandy distributed the reservations made to Peggy and will add the Sep-Oct range to have 3 tee times.
Questions/Comments: There being none, Jo Quinn moved, and Judy Burger seconded the adjournment and motion passed unanimously.
